We all had a fantastic time celebrating the developers and learning a bit about their development process. Kudos to Alex Vasquez for hosting a great event. Our judges did a great job evaluating the plugins and asking tough questions. Thanks to Jason Cosper, Chris Ford and Scott Bolinger.

Thank you again to our generous sponsor, Sucuri. This event would not have been possible without your support. The prizes grew bigger this year. We gave away $5,000 cash and 2 Sucuri Business (VIP) licenses.

The prizes went to:

First Place
Plugin Detective
$3,000 cash and 1 Sucuri Business (VIP) license

Second Place
WP Revenue Booster
$1,500 cash and 1 Sucuri Business (VIP) license

Third Place
Ensemble
$500 cash

Thank you to all of the entrants, our host and our judges!

The WCOC After Party – A Display of Skill and Song

The WCOC After Party is the stuff of legends.

A highlight of WordCamp Orange County, you’ll be amazed by both the talent and occasional lack of talent displayed at this notorious event. We recommend grabbing a bite to eat before you come and coming early to stake out a seat or add yourself to the karaoke list.

Drink tickets will be passed out as you enter and please bring your ID and badge for admittance. Durty Nelly’s is located at 2915 Red Hill Ave in Costa Mesa.

Come have some fun and enjoy hearing of years long past. Join the WordCamp Bards and add a bit of yourself to the tale! See below for past event tweets and photos.

Sunday Social Celebrates the Best Of WCOC

Last year we started a new tradition at WordCamp Orange County (#WCOC). We gathered together as a WordPress community over tacos, drinks, firepits and ice cream to wrap up the event on site. This year, we’re doing it all over again (only this time we’ll be adding a funnel cake bar to the mix!).

There will be incredible sessions on both Saturday and Sunday so please plan on attending both days of WordCamp. Help us spread the word by using the hashtag #bothdays in social media posts. The Sunday Social is included in the price of your WordCamp ticket and has no extra cost. It’s a way to celebrate all we’ve learned and everyone we’ve met as we share stories together.

Right after the Plugin-a-Palooza winners are announced, we will urge everyone to move across the parking lot to the patio at the Vine. Share your weekend takeaways as you enjoy a meal among friends. We encourage you to book a late flight or fly out on Monday so you can make it.

Can we count on you for both days?
